Sharonah Fredrick Frederick's Thesis, "Maya Civilization and the Spanish Conquest: Skepticism And Rebellion: Doubting God’s Word" Dr. Fredrick is an anthropologist, researcher, and translator who works fluently in Spanish, English, Portuguese, Hebrew, and Arabic. She has traveled widely in South America, Britain, Ireland, Israel, Australia, and the United States and lectured on subjects including cross-culturalism, Judeo-Spanish history, pre-Columbian philosophy in the Americas, and the impact of globalization on developing and industrialized societies. In addition to the Ph.D. from CCWU, she has a BA from the University of Buffalo and an MA from the University of Tel Aviv. She also has a special degree in Spanish language and culture from the Eurocentre Institutes in Barcelona and Madrid.
Faye J. Wilson, Ph.D., RN, CPHQ, FNAHQ Wilson's Thesis, "Measuring the Impact of a Community Program on the Health and Well-Being (As Related To Teenage Pregnancy, Illiteracy, Unemployment and Crime) Of Its Residents From 1988-1999" Dr. Wilson is a quality management consultant with 22 years of progressive growth and experience as a health care professional. She has a proven track record of developing high quality, cost effective, and technically advanced methods to address health care issues. She operates her own independent consulting firm, which focuses on resource alignment, communications, productivity, and preparation for accreditation. She is the president of the National Association for Healthcare Quality. She has served as a faculty staff member for the Joint Commission of Accreditation for Healthcare Organizations, as well as on several local and national boards.
Mark D. Lanyon Lanyon's Thesis, "Developing a Comprehensive Treatment Program for Emotionally Traumatized Substance-Abusing Adolescents" Dr. Lanyon is Director of the Intake Department at Brandywine Counseling and works directly with heroin-addicted young people. He is also an ordained minister and has a BS from Cornell University and an MHS from Lincoln University. When asked about his CCWU experience, Dr. Lanyon said: "Work on my dissertation has provided me with many valuable tools that assist me in my work with emotionally traumatized, substance-abusing adolescents. During my counseling career, experience taught me there was a significant connection between emotional trauma and substance abuse in adolescents, and the dissertation project gave me the opportunity to substantiate this connection. Moreover, as an ordained minister, I am now—after finishing the dissertation—more aware of the importance of encouraging young people to explore their spirituality. Finally, completion of my dissertation has increased my self-confidence, thus enabling me to minister with more authority and power."
Michael Wagner, M.S., P.A. Wagner's Thesis, "Stability of Drugs of Abuse in Biological Specimens" Mr. Wagner is a forensic toxicologist and court expert in forensic toxicology. In addition to the MS from CCWU he obtained a BA and BS from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, in Math and Chemistry and a Physician Assistant degree in Europe. He is a member of the Society of Forensic Toxicologists and a member of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences where he is on the board of the Drugs and Driving commitee. He presented his thesis research at the AAFS meeting in Atlanta in 2002.
Nancy Claflin, Ph.D., RN, CCRN, CPHQ, FNAHQ
Claflin's Thesis, "Continuing Education Needs for RNs and LPNs" Dr. Claflin is currently the Chair of the Education Department at the Carl L. Hayden VA Medical Center. When asked about the value of her CCWU experience and degree, she said: "CCWU was an extremely positive experience that allowed me to fully participate as a learner. It has helped me to see how the principles of adult learning can be applied to create an outstanding learning environment."
Alan E. Solomon Dr. Solomon wrote his dissertation on the “European Monetary Union—Convergence and Ramifications” and is currently the director of a privately-owned company in Antwerp, Belgium. Dr Solomon is currently in the process of writing a book based on his dissertation topic.
Paul A. Munoz Paul A. Munoz specializes in dispute resolution and human resources issues and is the president of his own company. When asked about the value of his CCWU degree, he said: “It provides a broader vision of the corporate world and thus enables me to be more creative in my consulting work.” Dr. Munoz also has a BA in business administration and an MBA in labor/management relations. He is a member and past officer of the Society for Human Resource Management, a volunteer counselor for the National Center for Disability Services, and is an adjunct professor at St. Joseph’s College. He is a nationally known expert on human resources and has appeared on radio and television.
Philip I. Moynihan Moynihan's Thesis, "Synthetic Sentience: The Emergence Of Computer Awareness Through Evolving Complexity In Nanotechnology"
